What is Epitalon?
Epitalon is a short, lab-made peptide based on a natural substance from the pineal gland (the part of the brain that helps regulate sleep and aging). It's studied for its potential to activate an enzyme (telomerase) that helps protect the caps on the ends of your DNA, which may help cells stay healthier and function longer. It's popular in longevity research and among biohackers interested in slowing cellular aging, resetting sleep-wake cycles, and general anti-aging support.

How Does Epitalon Work?
It activates an enzyme (telomerase) that rebuilds the protective caps on the ends of chromosomes, helping cells avoid the wear-and-tear that normally pushes them toward aging. It also nudges the pineal gland to produce melatonin and reduces cell-damaging oxidative stress.
Rebuilds telomeres
Activates an enzyme that restores the protective caps on chromosome ends.
Supports the pineal gland
Nudges the pineal gland to produce melatonin.
Reduces cell damage
Cuts down oxidative stress that contributes to cellular aging.

How to reconstitute Epitalon
View guideThe materials you'll need and step-by-step instructions for safely mixing Epitalon with bacteriostatic water.
Materials needed
Your Epitalon vial (lyophilized)
Alcohol swabs
Bacteriostatic sterile water
3 mL syringes (Luer Lock tip)
25G or 27G needles (Luer Lock). Other gauges may also be acceptable.
Sharps container (optional)
Remove the caps
Sanitize the rubber stoppers
Attach the needle
Draw the bac water
Pull back on the plunger to draw your desired volume of bacteriostatic water. If you overfill, just push the excess back in until you reach the right marker on the syringe.
Insert the needle into the Epitalon vial
With the bac water in your syringe, insert the needle into the Epitalon vial at a slight angle to avoid pressure buildup.
Release the water gently
Let the water run gently down the side of the vial. Don't inject it forcefully.
Swirl to dissolve
Avoid shaking. Gently swirl, flip, and roll the vial to dissolve the powder.
Check for full dissolution
Cap, dispose, and store
How to Store Epitalon
Freeze the dry powder for long-term storage, or refrigerate it for shorter periods, keeping it away from moisture. Once mixed with liquid, refrigerate and use within 4–6 weeks.
Lyophilized Storage
-20°C long-term, or 2–8°C short-term, protected from moisture.
Reconstituted Storage
Refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 4–6 weeks.

What Are the Benefits of Epitalon?
What research says it may help with, and how it works in the body.
antiaging
At very small doses, activates telomerase, an enzyme that lengthens telomeres, the protective caps on the ends of chromosomes, helping cells divide more times before they wear out.
Reverses signs of cellular aging and improves the function of mitochondria, the energy-producing parts of cells.
In animal studies, doses in the 30-40 microgram per kilogram of body weight range extended lifespan by 25-33%.
neuroprotection
Helps restore the function of the pineal gland and the natural daily rhythm of melatonin release in older adults.
At very tiny, nanogram-level concentrations, supports the formation of new brain cells.
In studies using a 5-microgram dose per eye, 90% of cases showed a positive response for retinal degeneration, a condition where the light-sensing tissue at the back of the eye deteriorates.
immunity
Supports regeneration of the thymus gland, which helps improve immune function.
Strengthens the immune system's ability to detect threats and helps counter immunosenescence, the natural decline in immune function that comes with age.
What Are the Side Effects of Epitalon?
Who should avoid it, warning signs to watch for, and what to know before combining it with other compounds.
Who Should Avoid It
Active malignancy (telomerase activation concern)
Chronic sinusitis (nasal route)
Known peptide allergies
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Stop Right Away If You Notice
Signs of allergic reaction
Persistent injection site inflammation
New or changing moles (monitor skin)
Cancer diagnosis (discontinue immediately)
Unusual fatigue or weakness
Milder Signs to Watch For
How Long Should a Epitalon Cycle Last?
This breaks down how long a typical Epitalon cycle runs and what research suggests happens at each stage. Research shows that staying on a peptide continuously, without a break, may make it less effective over time.
That's why most research protocols build in a break between cycles, often called a washout period, to let the body reset before starting again.
